Bring out the Lawyer, Bring in the Knife...
For those that didn't know,

I've been having with the homeowner's association where I live for the past year. I tried to pay my homeowner dues before they were due (40 days early) only to find out they didn't receive them. A lien was placed, my name was reported to credit agencies, and yet I could prove that I paid them on time, and it was their fault, since they moved and failed to notify me of a change of address.

Needless to say, the issue got settled today, and we're only out $36 or so. The cost of being right. Better than losing the house over it though. And it's one less thing hanging over my head for the holiday.

Also, we got to use the Ruth's Chris card that Nathan/Nick/Oliver/all the other senior math teamers gave me this summer. It's a nice place, really too nice for someone like me. Of course, should someone want to give us another gift card in the future, I wouldn't complain :)

I go under the knife tomorrow. This should finish all my oral problems that have bothered me over the past year. I'm getting one of my wisdom teeth removed (I still have the other three, and they're not really bothering me) as well as a nonerupted superfluous tooth removed from my jaw. I've had enough teeth removed, so the wisdom one doesn't concern me. The one that's growing sideways through my jaw does, though. I'm hoping my surgery's uneventful. Of course, if you don't hear from me, you'll know. :)

Have a wonderful rest of the year.
~MP
