10:50pm: This is what happens when you let your wife handle the budget.
Before...

After...

Daddy like. Daddy LIKE!!! (pretty much how my living room feels like.)

Yesterday was the wife's birthday. Aside from a minor problem with the payroll department (not going to pay either me or my wife until next week for work we finished July 26, grr you very much.) it was a pretty good day. After a long week of classes, we went to Johnny Carino's for a bit of wolfing down food. Miguel likes the bread.

Instead of a birthday cake, I made brownies. They were enjoyed by all.

Today, we waited for the TV to be delivered. Then we worshiped in front of it's glowing presence. Actually, after a long week of classes (my throat is still having problems getting used to talking that much, and my knees are feeling a little better) it was nice to just play around with the kid. Miguel enjoyed not having to go to daycare. We had some sticker shock fun.

Life is great.
